Much Needed Bathroom Remodel - Please Share!!!!

My cousin recently got married!   Now a bathroom that was just big enough for one person is required to hold TWO people! There is only one vanity, a toilet and a tub.  There is also a plumbing problem - the stack needs to be replaced and when you flush the toilet, gases come up through the tub.  You have to run water in the tub to stop the smell.  I can come up with half of the money $5,000....but they received 3 bids and they were all around $10,000.  They really need a new bathroom!!!!!  I figured asking here couldn't hurt.  I really want to surprise her for their 1 year anniversary in June!  Please help fund a new bathroom for a loving and giving couple!!!!!  $1, $2, $5.  Every cent counts!!!!  Or...please share the link below on your page!!!  That helps too!

Thank you for your help!!!!!

Today's Word

It’s one of my favorite things about God.

Even though He’s eternal, and even though He sees the end from the beginning, He’s right here with you in this moment.

We serve a God who is always present. He’s not distant, uncaring or uninvolved, and He’s ready for you to “jump in” and go deeper into the plan He has for your life.

I meet a lot of people who have faith for their future. They truly believe one day God is going to do something great in their lives. Unfortunately, too many of them have difficulty believing their one day — for something supernatural from God — can be today. God loves you and wants to see you “jump in” and go deeper into the plan He has for your life.

In Psalm 118:24–25, David declared, “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Lord, I pray, send now prosperity” (NKJV). David expected great things from God and wasn’t afraid to ask for them right away. You can do the same.

God wants you to trust Him so much that you’re willing to ask like David did...with expectancy for today. Not in the past, not in the future, but right now in the present.

I know you believe God has done great things. And I know you believe God will do great things. But I ask you, do you believe God is doing great things right now...today?

I want you to have an expectation in your heart, an anticipation that something great is going to happen to you today. It’s a “jump in” attitude, one that says I want all you have for me and when you do, every day is filled with possibility and promise.

I encourage you, “Today is your day.” Set aside everything that’s holding you back so you can jump into what God has for you in this hour.

It will take courage, strength and faith to keep this attitude alive in your heart. I assure you that God will provide for you and answer your heart’s desire.

Remember today is your day to receive God’s favor!

Hello! I'm back!

I know I said I was done with the natural hair blogging, but for some reason it is really therapeutic for me. I have been coming into my dashboard from time to time checking on all of you and seeing what's new in the world of blogging. I also come on to get pointers and ideas when I am in a hair rut. Thank you all for all of the great fashion and hair ideas. This is better than any magazine I subscribe to.

Update - My hair is doing great! I will be getting it straightened soon to get my ends clipped. I have not straightened my hair in 8 months, so I am a little on the reserve about doing it. I am also going to have another professional coloring done (this time with Aveda coloring) because the two-tone hair is bothering me. I swore off color at first because it dried my hair so badly, but since I am graying in the front and I don't think I would be good at the henna process, I think I will give it another try. Aveda is suppose to be more natural and kinder to your hair, so we will see. This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago and I was so happy I could finally get all of my hair up into a ponytail. It is really cold here, so I will be rockin this for awhile.

I will blog here and there when I have a great product to talk about or some new hair techniques. I am always checking your blogs, so keep the greatness coming.

I love my natural texture and I will never change a thing!

Happy loving the natural you!

Today's Scripture

Chosen

"For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…"
(Ephesians 1:4, NIV).

God chose you before the foundations of the earth. Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn't create you to be average. He didn't create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.

Too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don't have what it takes. They are living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we're not going to experience God's best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.

Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value, you'll rise up higher and higher into the life of victory He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for equipping me. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Make Right Connections

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother"
(Proverbs 18:24, NIV).

Do you know how important it is to be connected to the right people? Your destiny is too big to accomplish on your own. But God has already arranged for certain people to speak faith into you. He has already placed in your path people who will inspire you, challenge you and help you accomplish your dreams. But the reason some people never reach their highest potential is because they never get away from the wrong people.

Recognize today that not everyone can go where God is taking you. You've got to connect with people who understand your destiny and can call forth your seeds of greatness. You don't have time to spend on people who are always pushing you down, telling you what you can't do, or never giving you their approval no matter how hard you try. Friend, life is too short to drag people along. If you will get the wrong people out of your life, then God will bring in the right people so you can fulfill the destiny He has in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for placing the right people in my life. Help me to discern the right connections You have for me. Give me strength to release the wrong relationships so I have room in my life for the people You have chosen to connect with me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

Know Your Limitations!

"If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be"
(1 Corinthians 12: 17-18, NIV).

In the New Testament, John was baptizing a crowd of people and drawing a lot of attention. Somebody came up and said, "John, are you the Christ or should we keep looking?" Without missing a beat John said, "No, I am not the Messiah."

See, John knew what he was, but he also knew what he was not. It's just as important to know what you're not because if you don't realize your limitations, you'll get drawn into areas that may look impressive and may feed your ego, but they are outside of your gifting and calling; outside of what God anointed you to do. Anytime you go outside of your limitations, it will be a constant struggle. Don't let that be you! Instead, stay focused on what you're good at. Follow peace in your heart and know your limitations because God has created you just the way He wants you to be!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for choosing me. I ask that You help me to know my limitations. Help me to know my place in the body of Christ so that I can bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

He Holds Your Destiny!

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way"
(Psalm 37:23, NKJ).

Oftentimes, people who aren't fulfilling their destiny will try to discourage you from fulfilling yours. They may not do it intentionally, but they'll tell you what you can't do and how things won't work out. They're quick to remind you of all your impossibilities. Your relatives, co-workers and friends may try to talk you out of your dream, but that's because God didn't put that promise in them; He put it in you. You have to remember that other people don't determine your destiny; God does. He holds your destiny in the palm of His hand. If you will keep believing, God will not only bring it to pass, but He will do more than you can ask or think.

Friend, don't let someone else's unbelief keep you from believing. Don't let other people talk you out of your dreams. It's time to get into agreement with God. He says you are well able. He says you are equipped. He says you are qualified. He says you are anointed, called and appointed to fulfill every dream and desire He's placed in your heart!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I trust that You are leading and guiding me today. I trust that You hold my future. I choose to tune out the discouraging voices and tune into Your Word. Fill me with Your peace and joy as You direct my steps. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
